Half Over 24

This year has gone by so fast it's not ever cool. In this year I have gained an enormous amount of knowledge. For starters I have learned how not to act around someone that you don't like but they like you. I have not had any to painful experiences so far this year and I hope to not have to deal with any of those second semester.
Pre-Calc has been a major learning experience for me also, having to memorize so many formulas, and all the really cool stuff like Logrithms and all that. God has given me many blessings this year He has shown me many ways, what a real Christian is.

trust me 23

When you tell someone "trust me" they expect to be able to trust you with anything. but that is not always the case or what should be done. There are many secrets that shouldn't be kept a secret, and your are doing them more harm then good. Like if someone were to be doing something that they shouldn't their parents should be told and something should be done.

Brainy Boy 22

Brains or Beauty? which to chose, personally i would have to say i would go with brains. i don't really want alot of girls chasing me. and i want to be able to get somewhere in life. the brains will get you farther in life. yes the looks can get you somewhere but where you really want to go (unless you want to be an actor or actress) but if you are looking for money it's not in the looks. take Bill Gates and the richest actor who has done more good. Bill Gates yes there is bad in computers but that is only cause of sick perverts! but look at how it has enabled people to communacate. not everyone will be able to do something that big but brains by far are alot better.

Women, i don't think so! 21

Should women be allowed to have dangerous jobs? or high poltical jobs? my answer might step on some peoples toes but thats ok. I don't think that women should have dangerous jobs, not because i don't think they can do it, but because i don't think they should have to. I mean look at the old days the people actually had good relationships, yes i am sure that there were some bad ones but for the most part it was good and that is because everyone knew thier place. the women didn't have to do the hard jobs because the me were actually REAL MEN. (hint hint to all you guys out there who are on your butts) alot of men now days just want to sit around and do nothing but the women still know what work is. so guys stop droping out of high school, stop getting girls pregenant so you have to go and get a job, stop being perverts, and start being REAL MEN.

Boob Tube 19

Why do we watch TV? What effect does it have on us? Statistics show that the avg american watches about four hours of TV a day. Ellen White said that one day TV would show so much that somethings that are very special would become common. This has defenitly happend, we can see anything from the lions in Africa, to the body of a human. On top of all that, TV changes positions about every 3-5 seconds so this has created short attention spans with people. That is a very big problem, no longer can anyone really talk on the phone instead people text message, which is okay but we need to learn how to take in the things of life and be able to stop and smell the roses.

"1 is the lonliest number," this is an old saying but i don't think it's true. It doesn't apply at all to me, or most people for that matter. Being alone is one of the most wonderful things to man. It make me happy cause i can just be me, insteade of always having to be fake cause my "friends" don't like this or that. When im alone is the only time im really happy.

back to school 17

Why do the adults want to go back to college? Why do they want to father thier education? it's really not that hard to figuare out. Its not to late, and it improves their ablity to think and work. I must say though going back to college at that age it would make it much harder. There is an old saying that goes like this, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." It will improve society if adults go back to college. The reason is because they will be able to work in more places and maybe start their own busnieses, which will majorly.
There is one man Mike Flynt who went back to college football, a great ambition. I will help him get in great shape im sure. It will also show that no matter how opld you are you can alway be able to chill with kids.

life questions 16

What are parents for? To love and cre for us, to love us, to protect us. But is this what they do today or no? Well we don't have to look that far to find out. Just look at how many marraiges fail. The fact that they aren't lasting says that it's not a home that is good.
What is a good home like? A good home is where there is love and care. And alot of times there is at the bengining now days, but it doesn't last. To have a Good home its has to last more then just the honey moon. In a good marrage even in the arguments you have to be willing to be wrong, and not get mad about it. You also have to be able to hold your temper when the kids start to talk back or something.
Why don't we have good homes now day? This is a hard one to pinpoint but I think I have it close. The main reason is cause we don't have God in our lives. If we are willing to be selfsacraficing and unslefish, alot of marrages would be alot better.
What is true love? true love is being willing to love the other person when they don't love you. When they throw the things you have dont in your face. When theyfly off the handle and go nuts in your face.
What is true beauty? True beauty comes from the heart. Not from how skinny you are. Not from how much makeup you whear. It's not just your looks, yes looks will change how people look at you. But anyone worth having will know that it comes from the heart not the looks.

Presicdent Howells 15

What are the first three things I would do if I were president? First I would make sure that there would always be religious freedom. Second I would start laying down guide lines for disability unless someone is really disabled then they can't get it. And third I would higher scientist to find a way for cars to run or just any old water right out of the tap. And then shut down the gas companies. And if you want one more thing I would shut down all casinos in the United States. Not to mention beer and cigarette companies. And if people don't like that then they can get a new president.

Triangle Tangle 13

Statistics show that by the age of 11 most guys have had their first drink of alcohol, and for girls it was the age of 13. That right there says there’s a problem in drinking. But the worst part about it is that most of the supply is from the parents, so now something is being done about it.
Now parents are being prosecuted for letting their children drink. Such as Elisa Kelly of Charlottesville VA, got 27 months in jail. For hosting a party for her teenage son, there are many things like this going on but not matter how many laws you put in place you will never be able to stop it. There will always be those few who do it anyway. But I do think that if they start to really crack down on the parents it will help with the problem. That’s why I think that the parents should be held responsible for the children’s actions. In the bible it says, “Raise a child in the way of truth and he will not leave it” this is saying that if you raise your kid’s right they will have respect for things like that. And not only all that but the long term effects it has, I mean like lose of brain cells and you can’t get those back unlike normal cells they don’t reproduce. The effect on your kidneys and many other parts of the body is just outrageous. But I do think that parents could stop their children, one of the most used sayings is, “Monkey see Monkey do” so what do you expect if kids see their parents drinking. And the ages for children wanting to be just like their parents are about 10-13 but by the time they have done if a few times they are addicted and the might want to stop but can’t. S my advice would be stop making it and parents stop drinking it but if you are going to don’t do it around your kids.

My Favorite 14

Let’s see my favorite holiday; I would have to say it would be Valentines Day. No I’m not some little lover boy, but it seems that on valentines day that everyone seems to have this love flowing out of them and everyone’s happy.
And my least favorite holiday, I don't have one they are all nice, and all of them seem to make people happy. So I can't really say that I have a least favorite one.
And I remember one particular Valentines Day, my dad came home from work and he had a big package in his hand. I asked what it was and he said “You can’t tell mom if I tell you.” Then I saw the bouquet of one dozen roses, so I knew instantly that it was something for my mom. I wish that everyday could be like that full of love and joy.

stupid me 12

If it weren't for that stupid decision I made on Saturday night I wouldn't be stuck in the pickle. It was just me and Elvis in the dorm and so I thought man that is boring. I had brought back some spray paint and I thought hey I should go and paint the soccer field. So I did and the fence so now let just put it nicely. That’s how I ended up duct-tapped to this trouble that I am about to face.

to be great 11

Well I can go really deep in about 2 sentences. Ok well I think that everyone has the potential to be great. I think that what makes a person great is the inside not the outside. Inside everyone should be the desire to help others. When someone lives for others and not self that is when they are really great. It takes a love for everyone and a forgiving spirit that makes a person great. So in all that I have said one word YES, I think everyone has the ability to be great.

WEAK!! 10

"Man you are freaking weak," after that sunned laughter urupted throughout the whole group of "friends" around. I felt bad for him, and even though I didn't laugh, I didn't stick up for him. At the time he was about 3 feet 8 inches tall, he was almot 12 years old, and had just been beat in a wrestling match with his little brother who was 10 years old and was about 3 feet 9 inches tall.
He still hasn't really lived it down cause he is still really small for his age now his almost 15 and weighs only about 125 and is only like 5 feet 4 inches. and his litttle brother can still beat him. He tried to fight the guy who said it but he was three times his weight and about 1 foot taller. thats when I started laughing. A I look back I wish I hadn't, cause I learned that "people are people no matter how small." (Dr. Seuss)

this is a personal story that I thought fit well.

this embarrassing 9

Ok so you want to know one of my most embarrassing moments. well surprisingly I don't have that many. but I do remember one time when we were in Hawaii, everyone was wanting some coconuts. but that wasn't the reason i was pu the tree, I was up there to cut the coconuts out so they didn't fall on peoples heads. I had been triming deferent trees for almost 2 hours so i was tired. but i only had one more branch to cut, and was ready to go at it hard.
Mr. Stanly, who was holding the ladder, said he was going to let go cause he was right in the path of the coconuts. I didn't think this was the best idea but i said ok. Istarted to cut, but I was cutting way to hard and fast, and sence the tree is round the ladder spun on the tree. this was about 20-30 feet high in the air and i feel out. it would have been one thing had i just fallen but i landed on a cement slab and it broke my belt buckle.
I was actually laughinf until i hit the ground. there was a big group of people at the bottom and they all looked up to watch and then i feel. the funny part was watching their faces on the way down. everysingle person was white as snow but when i laned i feel into coconuts from the cement. so i just lay there for a little bit got up and went to finish the branch. But on the way up my pant almost feel off cause they were to big and my belt buckle had broken, so that was the really embarrassing part. so there you have it one of my most embarrassing moments.

eating me out ouf house and home 7

Have you ever heard the phrase eating me out of house and home? Im sure that somewhere alog the way you have. it's commonly used, but it seems taht most people don't know where it came from. well we have all heard of shakespeare, and we have all heard of the pahrse. so we could just put two and two together but i gues not.
Yes it came from shakespeare, but what does it mean you might ask? well in the most simple way, it's someone who is just eating so much and costing so much that you have to sell all you have and then your house too. It seems kind of werid to me, that you would let someone stay when they are doing something like that and not make them work and pay for their own things. but i can't argue with something that is true cause I know that has happend before. So i guess all i can say is don't do that and you won't have to worry about not having friends.

i wish you were here! 8

Who would I want to meet if i could meet anyone? lets see i would have to say that I want to meet Louis Pasture. Why, he was one of the greatist scientist that has ever lived. He found the cure for rabies, and much more.

questions i would ask him.
1. How did you and your father get along?
2. Did he agree with your choice of your carrier?
3. Why does the process of vacsenation work?
4. Do you feel that making a life long decision befor you are 18 is good or bad?
5. What do you think about friends ships with girls?
6. What do you think of modern science?
7. How could modern science be changed for the better?
8. What would you say is a true gentlemen?
9. What would you say is the most important thing to know about being a father?
10. How did God effect your life and what role did he play in your science?

lost! 6

Yes i have felt lost at school! many times, all the times i have wanted to do something and i can't cause i don't have what i need to do it. Or the times when i was the only guy in the dorm that was in a class and i didn't understand it. or the times when i needed i little advice from one of my friends but they weren't there.
But one time i remember the most, i had a sever case of exetreme sports need. I hand't been able to ride my dirtbike all year and need some kind of oulet of energy. So i hoped on my bike and tried a crazy jump. But i must admit that befor i did two of my friends tried to stop me. But i didn't listen. So if you don't already know what happend i feel and got my chin busted open. I guess the moral of the story is, LISTEN TO YOUR FRIENDS!

microtrends 5

What is a microtrend? You might ask, well it’s just something that starts small and grows. They are little things that make a person really who they are. Then others see it and it fits them too, so they pick up on it. I feel that the reason people are joining in these microtrends. Is because they want to be themselves, they don’t want to just be a little puppet that is tossed around.
And people that know a lot about it can be helpful to people that are trying to get somewhere. Like the fact that Hilary Clinton hired Penn to help with her campaign. But then there is the fact of “free society” like the fact of gay rights. But then if you take that away then other tings will be taken away. If only we had it like it was “back in the day” when the biggest gun won, and everyone was themselves.
I think that the fact that a person is in a campaign will make it more wanted to read. So the fact that Penn published a book while in the campaign, might be a part of it. Trying to get more votes, and also trying to get some influence. As a member of Weimar Academy I feel like for the most part we don’t have microtrends but I do think that we could start some. As for me personally no I’m not a part of any I am me and if you have a problem with that then well guess what you can just, cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it.

What Really Happend

You know the story, the planes were highjacked, and were flowen into the world trade towers and they feel. but is that what really happend, did you ever consider the possibility that something else might have happend. well someone did, there are meny videos that you can get that go through it and give out thier oppenion on what happend.
Me personally i almost think that on the inside had somthing to do with it, Why you ask? I will tell you, the towers were built on center cor of steel i-beams. And it is claimed that it became weak and that is why it feel. But if that were the case it wouldn't have fallen straight down, but instead to the side. not to mention the fact that on every video (and on both towers) you hear the reporter say, "There has been aecond explosion." then as they collapse you see small explosions on the building. Also the core would have only fallen from where it had been hit, it would have taken a long time to get hot enough for it to do that.
I don't think that we should dwell on it, but I don't think that we should pass it by as nothing. I also feel that wit5h somthing that big it would be hard to forget. As a U.S. citizen i agree with most of what our government did, but i don't think that we should run Iraq for them. If we were to take over their country and make it part of the U.S. then i would say, there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. But it seems to me that they just want the oil. and if that is the case i say that many lives were lost in vain.

What Happend to Me

Ok well it all started with a calm ride on the bus up to lake Tahoe. But when i got there i relzied that i had no money to take showers and it was going to be a long 4 days, on top of that i had no tent to sleep in so i thought it would be under the stars. But thanks to my great friend Andrew Jaeger, i had a place to stay. it was for the most part a relaxing weekend.
The fun began when we went swiming on friday night, then on sabbath we had a wonderful service. (even though i had to lead song service which was so embarressing) Sunday we went back to the lake and swam some more, at which time i decied to actually get in cause i hadn't showered all weekend. Then on sunday night we played some games and went to bed, thinking that we would wake up just the same. (and we did) But in the morning we found that a bear had gone through our trash and dragged it all over, then came the uneventful bus ride back, and ofcorse back to the grind.

Code of Chivalry

"King Arthur of the Round Table is a heroic figure of English legend. Arthur and his knights were said to live by a set of beliefs known as the Code of Chivalry. A few rules of the code include:

Live one's life so that it is worthy of respect and honor.
Live for freedom, justice, and all that is good.
Be polite and attentive.
Never betray a confidence or a comrade.
Protect the innocent."
(Ms. Chi)

This is a great way to live. The only thing I could think to add would be first, and that is Trust God with all your heart. And if you don't agree then that is fine, but I know how made me and who saves me. I mean Jesus lived by the best code the golden rule "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and he was even willing to die for us to save us from sin. I don't know about you but that is the best thing I have ever had anyone do for me. He gave up all His glory, He became a man, and on top of all that he died for us that is a real sacrifice!
I believe that we as men today have lost any code to live by at all except one. "Get in get her done and get out" and that just makes me sick. If you guys really want to have a good relationship then learn what she likes and what she doesn't, don't cross lines, and most of all don't be a pervert! Girls I know that you have gotten used to this kind of stuff but I know there are a few guys left who still want to be a real man. So don't just go for anyone treats yourself with respect and they will treat you with respect. One last thing if you guys and girls want to know how to do this there are some great books that I know of. For guys it's called "Gods Gift to Women" and for girls "Authentic Beauty" they are written by Eric ludy and his wife Leslie. So the next time some guy slaps your but slap his face. And the next time a girl says that she doesn't want you to do something DON'T!

Illegal Immagrents

It is illegal for a reason! I think that they should be sent back if they are freshly coming But if they have been here for years, are working, haven't committed crimes then I think they can stay.
I don't really know what the guest worker program is, but from how it sounds I don't think that they should. I think that we Americans need to get our rear ends off our couches and get to work. I’m sorry if this hurts anyone but I am just exclaiming the truth!
The detrimental facts I see is that since they are here Americans don't work. So that just puts economy down. Which is keeping us in debt, because there are many people who just don’t work and get disability or workman’s comp?
If they have formed good roots and haven't done anything wrong as I stated before, I think that if they have children and things like that then it's ok.
I say we send all the new ones back and physically examine everyone on disability to see if they really hurt or not. And the ones that have been here without causing trouble let them stay but if they cause trouble then send them back.
